Boehner Spews Ridiculous Lies Out Of His Piehole

Dumber Than A Bag Of HammersPresident Obama addressed the nation this evening concerning the ho-hum debt ceiling debate turned crisis by the Teabaggers. Although he didn't give it to the Republicants with both barrels, he did a better job than I expected. I'm still perplexed as to why he didn't just get up there and explain that after trying to bend over backwards, he was just thru trying to negotiate with the dipstick of the house John Boehner. He should have outlined the 14th amendment invocation as a possibility to really get some people worried then, as a consequence of no possibility of compromise, demand a clean bill on his desk within the next 3 days. Instead he gave Boehner a free pass once again, inexplicably.Overall, the President gave a good speech. He actually called out those responsible and targeted blame instead of talking in generalizations.

Once the dumbass of the house, John Boehner, came on TV I wasn't sure how he was going to follow the adult speech that the President gave. Well, first of all he actually sounded attentive, too much so in fact. Usually he sounds half drunk and disinterested. The sound was terrible with a bad echo to add to the already annoying fake voice tone. Then came the lies...oh the lies. I don't even know where to begin. I was ready to turn the channel but I felt compelled to listen further so I'd know what is true or false. It was all false!

Ridiculous characterizations like saying the stimulus created more late night comedian fodder than jobs. That is utter crap. The stimulus created or saved between 1.6 to 2 million jobs. Uh, Mr. Boehner, how many jobs have you and your do-nothing House created so far in your new term that was supposed to all about "creating jobs"? To say the President has gone on the biggest spending binge in history...Uh, no, that distinction would belong to the Bush administration which added 6 trillion to the deficit (more than doubled it!) and plunged us into the Great Recession to boot! John Boehner may not have been slurring his speech like he often does but he sure as hell was drunk with his assessment of the debt ceiling crisis. Drunk with power? Drunk with Fox News Vodka? Drunk with his own bullshit? All of the above...

How can people be voting for these idiot-logs (not ideologues) on the right? Seriously, this has got to be the dumbest collection of politicians to walk the halls of Congress in the history of this screwed up country.To turn a matter-of-fact government function that many of them have voted for repeatedly under previous administrations into a crisis of potentially epic economic proportions is simply inexcusable. When will the American people hold them accountable? Do we have to go into another Great Depression? What will it take? How many times can a party screw up before they are no longer allowed in the conversation? Did they feel there was unfinished business leftover from the 2008 meltdown? Maybe they don't feel like they quite did the job of destroying our economy well enough then? How else can you explain their willingness to let the country go into default knowing full well what the consequences will be?

And now, to top it all off, John Boehner feels the need to go on national televison and spew outright lies out of his freakin' piehole. I think Bill Clinton hit the nail on the head when he said that if he were President he'd invoke the 14th amendment and make the courts decide the validity.
